HALSEY SHEDD FIRE DISTRICT

Halsey Shedd Fire Department began as Halsey Fire Department, and Shedd Fire Department. They merged in 1952 to become Halsey-Shedd Fire District. They were both established as a Volunteer Rural fire department in March of 1938. For the next ~50 years, HSFD operated solely off donations and the support of the community. In 1985, we were finally able to pay our fire chief!

We strive for best in class service and support of our community! Our volunteers and fire staff complete hundred's of hours of training. We maintain our equipment as well, purchasing new fire apparatus as our funds allow.
